Welcome to Vail Creative a sample of my photographic work. Growing up skiing, biking, and exploring the woods of New England formed the roots of my love for the outdoors. In college I studied Civil Engineering (M.S.) but my true focus was on my weekend pursuits to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It was here where I truly learned how to climb, backcountry ski, and have good old overnight adventure no matter how bad the weather. This is also where my camera became my favorite tool to capture and share these grand adventures, beautiful places, and fleeting light of dusk and dawn. After handing in my masters thesis, I inevitably ended up "Out West". I have called the Vail Valley home since 2014 and absolutely love the access to all things outdoors. My love for exploration has taken me from the steep slopes of Denali in Alaska to the crystal clear rivers of New Zealand.

I am passionate about authentically capturing the journey and telling a story through my images. Rarely will I go out with the intention of capturing one image; while some photographers spend hours setting up for a single shot, I choose to document the adventure, the events, and the people in the moment. My images are typically rich in color and capture the sense of adventure that fills life with joy. I feel compelled to create images that inspire you to get out and explore.

As I grow my passion for photography into a business I am excited to be spending more time shooting portraits, events, and pursuing commercial work. My background as an outdoor leader and guide has taught me how to work in the elements, put safety first, and how to plan/execute a goal. This experience allows me to spend more time getting the shot rather than wasting time on the technical aspects of the activity.
